133100 質性研究方法導論 (Introduction to Qualitative Research Methods)

有時候，我們想對一個議題進行研究，但一想到要學很困難的統計 就默默退縮了..... 很多人都不知道還有另一個研究方法，那就是質性研究！ 和量化研究不同的是，質性研究會針對客體的經驗、情緒或語言進行分析，而這些是很難透過量化的方式進行的。例如我們想探討出生在離婚家庭的子女的成者經歷，就很適合用質性研究進行，來深入瞭解他們實際的感受。 比起數據或常態與否，質性研究比較專注的是，受訪者的情緒、歷程和實質影響，透過訪談法，還能分析受訪者的抑揚頓挫，和各種用詞、口音的差別。 是不是很有趣！是一個有別於量化研究的研究方法 (更多.....)
This course aims to introduce students to a variety of qualitative research methods. There are two main sections in this course. The first section is the “Interacting with Humans” section, which focuses on ethnography and interview methods in which students would learn how to interact with research participants. The second section, “Engaging with Data,” explores various ways that researchers analyze text and images. Throughout the course, students will have an opportunity to read texts about each method, participate in discussions, engage in qualitative research activities/games, and share with the class their own preliminary qualitative research plan.
