公告本校學生逕修讀博士學位獎學金作業要點 Announcement of the NYCU Regulations for Students in Direct Pursuit of a PhD Degree Scholarship
為鼓勵本校成績優異且具研究潛力之優秀學生逕修讀本校博士班，以積極培育國家社會所需高級研究人才，特訂定學生逕修讀博士學位獎學金作業要點，112學年度起擴大辦理為獎勵兩校區學生。
一、獎學金金額：每名獎學金每月二萬元為上限，計給獎一年。
二、申請資格條件(前三項條件均須符合)：
(一)經本校各博士班審核通過逕修讀博士學位，並由指導教授及系所主管推薦之本地生、僑生及外籍生(不含陸、港、澳生)。
(二)逕修讀博士班之第一學年，且為全時進修(非在職)者。
(三)學逕博學生之學士班學業總平均成績計算至畢業前一學期，排名在該班學生前百分之二十以內;碩逕博學生之碩士班學業成績總平均達GPA3.38以上。
(四)通過CEFR語言能力參考指標B2等級者尤佳。
備註：全時進修是指無從事有酬勞之專兼職工作，惟兼職校內教授所指導之研究計畫者除外。
三、申請期限:
本獎學金申請期限為每年9月底，因於9月份才通過擴大辦理，故112學年度受理申請期限延至112年10月31日止，逾期不予受理。
四、申請方式
(一)為配合永續發展校園，推動無紙化作業， 除推薦信外，其他申請文件僅接受電子檔申請，請學生於112年10月31日前以電子檔案方式辦理，電子檔請合併成一個pdf檔繳交。請寄送至下列承辦人員電子信箱:

Announcement of the NYCU Regulations for Students in Direct Pursuit of a PhD Degree Scholarship
To encourage current excellent students with research potential to apply for direct entry to NYCU’s PhD program, so as to proactively cultivate advanced research talents for our country and society, the NYCU Regulations for Students in Direct Pursuit of a PhD Degree Scholarship have been established. Starting from Academic Year 2023, the Regulations were expanded to cover students on both campuses.
- Amount of the Scholarship: Up to NT$20,000 per month and 12 months. The amount of the Scholarship is subject to change in accordance with the budget and the number of awardees.
- Eligibility for application: (applicants should be eligible for the first three at the same time):
- Local students, overseas Chinese students, and international students (excluding students from China, Hong Kong, and Macau) who pass the review process of each PhD program and are recommended by their advisors and department chair.
- Full-time PhD students without working any paid jobs in their first academic year (part-time PhD students are not eligible).
- Undergraduate students applying for direct entry to Ph.D. programs should have an average GPA (calculated one semester prior to graduation) in the top 20% of their class. Master’s students applying for direct entry to PhD programs should have an average GPA of at least 3.38.
- Applicants with English Proficiency Certificate at CEFR Level B2 (or higher) will be given favorable consideration.
Note: Full-time students refer to those who are not engaged in paid full-time or part-time work, except for those working on research projects led by NYCU professors as part-timers.
- Application Deadline:
The application deadline for the scholarship is by the end of September every year. However, as the scholarship was expanded and approved in September 2023, the application deadline for Academic Year 2023 is extended to October 31, 2023. Late applications will not be processed.
- Application Method:
- To support the sustainable development of the campus and promote paperless procedures, all application documents, except for recommendation letters, are only accepted in electronic form. Students are required to merge the electronic files of the documents into one PDF file and submit it by October 31, 2023 to the email addresses of the following personnel:

- Make sure to ask the recommender to personally sign the recommendation letter, seal the letter, sign across the seal, and send the letter directly to the Division of Registrar of the respective campuses.
