Introduction

Main Responsibilities of the Academic Advising Office:

To assist NYCU students in establishing their academic direction by offering guidance and consultation services, including course planning, career development planning, and learning resource connections. The office also provides planning support, community building, and student learning progress tracking in the Self-directed Interdisciplinary Program and Cross-Disciplinary Programs.
To build an interdisciplinary advisory network composed of faculty members, industry mentors, alumni, and peers. This network facilitates connections between students and domain experts to help them receive tailored academic and professional advice.
To collaborate with other support units on campus and establish connections with external academic advising organizations to integrate resources and provide comprehensive academic pathway consultations for students.
