Site Policy Agreement
This Agreement is executed under Article 3 and Article 8, Paragraph 1 of the Personal Data Protection Act of the Republic of China (Taiwan).

Welcome to the E3 Learning Management System ("the Platform"). This agreement outlines the Platform's Privacy Policy to ensure the secure and proper use of our services. Please review this policy carefully.

Scope of Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data obtained through the Platform. It does not apply to external websites or third parties we do not control.

Personal Data Collection and Use
We collect personal information that is essential to delivering our services, including your name, email address, contact details, and activity records (such as course participation and assignments). We will process this data solely for its intended and disclosed purpose. Any other use of your personal information will require your prior, explicit consent.

  1. Designation of Governing Authority
    • The Office of Academic Affairs, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, serves as the responsible authority.
  2. Purpose of Data Collection
    • To facilitate the functionalities and services provided by the "E3 Learning Management System."(E3數位教學平台)
    • To facilitate school operations and execute various courses and teaching activities.
    • To safeguard the security of user data and to enhance the quality of services rendered.
  3. Categories of Collected Personal Data
    • Identification Data: Including, but not limited to, department affiliation, full name, and email address.
    • Usage Data: Including, but not limited to, connection IP addresses, access timestamps, browsing history, and clickstream data.
  4. Duration, Geographical Scope, Recipients, and Methods of Data Utilization
    • Duration: Data shall be retained for the duration necessary to fulfill the specified purposes or as otherwise mandated by applicable laws and regulations.
    • Geographical Scope: Utilization shall be confined to the jurisdiction where the platform's servers are hosted.
    • Recipients: Access shall be limited to authorized entities, including this platform and legally entitled third parties.
    • Methods: Data processing and application shall be restricted to the operational requirements of the platform. Where third-party service providers are engaged, strict oversight shall be exercised to ensure compliance with confidentiality obligations.
  5. Rights of the Data Subject Under Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act of the Republic of China (Taiwan)
    • The data subject is entitled to:
      • Access or review their personal data.
      • Request duplicates of their data.
      • Seek amendments or corrections.
      • Demand cessation of data collection, processing, or utilization.
      • Request the deletion of their data.
    • Requests must be submitted in writing to the designated authority (LMS Management Team) and include the necessary supporting documents.
  6. Freedom to Provide Personal Data and Potential Implications of Non-Disclosure
    • Submission of personal data is voluntary. However, refusal to provide the required data may result in the inability to access the platform services.
